Hi, I'm Lydia

I have always had a natural curiosity towards life. I am the friend with the questions and the want to understand more. I can frequently be found googling obscure topics to understand people and life a little more. This curiosity has often lead me to look for creative ways to understand myself further too.

After over 15 years of working as a teacher within further education, I followed my dreams and retrained as a Humanistic and Integrative psychotherapist. I value the work I am able to do with clients and feel honoured to work with those that invite me to join them on their journey.

I believe that everyone could benefit from therapy, where giving yourself time to focus on you and your wellbeing can be a powerful and life-changing experience. Getting to know ourselves, our processes and ways of being can help bring understanding, greater resource when times are challenging and help us move towards fulfilling our potentials.

Through attending Gong baths and sound therapy I recognised that they gave me space and a pause from the busyness of life, allowing me to get out of my head and just be present and let things come into and out of my mind as I relaxed. As I relaxed further in Gong baths, I sometimes had experiences that made me curious. Images and feelings would come to me. I further explored some of my experiences at Gong baths within my personal therapy, a combination that I found to be a powerful experience.

Being led by my curiosity, I attended the Gong Master Training at Hawkwood College in Stroud, accredited by the Complementary Medical Association (CMA) and trained under Grand Gong Master Don Conreaux, Gong Masters Aiden McIntyre and Tim Byford. The Gong Master training lead me on the continual path to harness the transformative power of sound healing through gongs and other instruments, striving to support individuals in their spiritual growth, self-healing, and empowerment.

By combining psychotherapy and Gong therapy I hope to offer clients flexible ways to be present, connect and explore themselves. Thus bringing me to my current offering to clients. I can offer Humanistic Integrative psychotherapy, Gong Baths and Sound therapy, or a combination of both. I welcome contact from you so that we can explore working together. I look forward to hearing from you.

"I really enjoyed my Gong session with Lydia. It was amazing how quickly I became calm and relaxed considering my brain is constantly in overdrive, due to hectic life. Being immersed in the sound is very soothing. Thank you for such a wonderful experience. I will definitely be back."
